Background and Foundation
Since the inception (1963), Bhatter College, Dantan has a rich library, namely Vidyasagar Central Library. With time it blossoms quantitatively and qualitatively with its documentary resources, services and human resources. The Central Library has developed computer based information storage and retrieval system in multi user environment and more than 20000 valuable resources are digitized with KOHA Integrated Library Management Software and almost all the modern services are provided and intended to be provided the rests in the anticipatory future. It assists to strengthen the excellence of Teaching-Learning process. Vidyasagar Central Library is one of the central facilities used by all types of members of this institution.

Membership
The membership of the Library is open to teachers, students and non-teaching staff of the College. The retired faculty members, staff members, alumni members and passed out students of the college are also eligible for getting membership subject to approval of the college authority.

Users and Their Privileges
- The central library is primarily meant for the bona fide students, faculties, administrative and non-teaching employees. Ex-students of this college may also avail the library reading faculties as per library rules.
- Each bona fide member of the library is provided smart library cum college identity card issued by the college office.
- The collections of the library can borrow by any member and period of loan depends upon the categories of the users as per library rules.
- For the books not returned within the due date of return, overdue charges are imposed as per library rules.
- Every member is supposed to take library clearance certificate after the termination of membership.
